Surcharge Message to our valued customers:
Gasoline prices continue to fluctuate greatly at the pumps. Although there is somewhat of
a relationship between diesel fuel and gasoline prices, they do not move in step with each
other. Al's Cartage has always, and will continue, to assess Fuel Surcharge based on the
actual cost of our fuel. In fairness to our customers, our surcharge moves with the price
of fuel as shown below. With the thin margins in the industry today, Fuel Surcharge is a
necessary component of our rate structure.
Consistent with our calculations, Al's Cartage will continue to apply fuel surcharge for
the foreseeable future. We appreciate your business and trust you understand our position.
